Bowl ‘n Roll is a WINNER

I told you I would check it out and I did. Several times now. So much so, I’m having trouble trying any other place. As Danielle would say: ‘Why would I go eat anywhere else, when I make it better?!’ I have to agree.

The menu items are all under $5 and delectable. You want Japanese udon noodle soup? Check. Craving BBQ brisket sliders? Check. Lamb satay? Falafel (the best)! Each day of the week features a cultural foodie special: Monday – American, Tuesday – European, Wednesday – Asian, etc you get the idea. And so does the cook; we don’t want to eat the same thing every night (unless it’s cabbage for me).

I lament the name change, though. The stories of ‘Shahrazad’ make up One Thousand and One Nights. You should go read it. I’m going to ask Danielle why it was chosen as the name for the restaurant.

  1. why Shahrazad? Beacuse I am Persian and a chick, I had no idead that most people here wouldn’t of had a clue as to who she was. i could tell people the name and they would absolutly butcher it, so I put her story on the sit down menu and peple couldn’t be bothered to read it. We changed it to The Bowl N’ Roll thinking at least people could pronouce it, but for some reason people don’t seem to get that we put food in “bowls” and serve “rolls” be they egg or bread. I am frequenlty asked if its now a bowling alley.

  2. I love that place. Stop in and order the day’s special… whatever it is. Hot, freshly made, and plenty of it. Bowl ‘n Roll sounds like take out to me, which they have, but it’s a good food meal for $5 with a water stand and great location in town so I just sit down and eat.

Kinda like stopping by mom’s kitchen on the way “out”.
